Awards
Best of the Northeast

The MLDC was chosen as “Best of the Northeast” and featured on the cable channel, NECN. This was by far our most prestigious award to date. Other programs that were chosen to represent this part of the country were the iconic Boston restaurant, Cheers, the shopping destination of The Prudential Center and the historic Mount Washington Resort located in the White Mountains of New Hampshire.

We are constantly striving to provide an environment that goes far beyond the limits of a traditional program and create an organization that demonstrates the true potential of what a camp can be to both a camper and a parent.

Thank you again for your support!

The Boston Globe

The Boston Globe published an article highlighting exceptional camps in Massachusetts and The MLDC was one of only five day camp programs to be selected. The programs were chosen via extensive research by Globe staff. You can view a portion of their online version by clicking here and here.

Reader’s Choice Award

The Reader’s Choice Award is an accolade that is given through the Community Newspaper Company (owned by the Boston Herald) which serves numerous cities and towns throughout the Massachusetts area. Readers are asked to submit votes and choose their favorite restaurants, clothing stores, car dealerships, theatres, etc. Thousands of votes are tallied and ultimately a bronze, silver and gold award are presented to the organizations receiving the most responses within their community as well as within their region. Towns in the northwest zone are:

  • Acton
  • Littleton
  • Arlington
  • Bedford
  • Belmont
  • Billerica
  • Boxborough
  • Burlington
  • Waltham
  • Carlisle
  • Chelmsford
  • Concord
  • Lexington
  • Lincoln
  • Maynard
  • Reading
  • Stoneham
  • Stow
  • Tewksbury
  • Westford

We were both excited and thankful to have received the most votes of any summer camp in the entire northwest region after only our first year of consideration. We appreciate the support both then and now!
